Hurricane Hat-Stand

I happened to be in Conran http://www.conranshop.co.uk yesterday and was charmed by this hanging rack laden with Hurricane Lamps. Look closely, they’ve filled them with plants, candles and trinkets. I’d add shells, pinecones and pebbles for an indoor nature corner.

    • Hi there

This was a display at the Conran shop. I liked the general idea that you could display many different things at the same time and thought it would be fun for readers to see. To construct something like this, you would need a metalworker to create the frame and join the links to the lantern holders.

  1. Sweet blog! I found it while surfing around on Yahoo News.
Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News?
I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Appreciate it

  2. Wonderful blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m
a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform
like WordPress or go for a paid option? There
are so many options out there that I’m totally confused ..
    Any recommendations? Appreciate it!

    • HI there

My blog and site are hosted by WordPress. I’ve found them a really good host as their support forums are generally all you need to sort out problems. With regard to content for your site, you need to know and research your topic, so that you feel what you have to say is relevant and interesting to visitors/reader. I’d start by looking at the magazines you like best and see what you think works – and what doesn’t – then expand the topic so that you’re writing articles/posts that are in your voice. Never borrow content without crediting the original source!

    • HI there

My blog is hosted by WordPress, they use spam filters and generally that is enough, but I still have to sort through comments that they consider to be from ‘real’ email addresses.

  4. Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading?
I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if
it’s the blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  5. Good day! I could have sworn I’ve visited this site before but after going through many of the posts I realized it’s new to
me. Regardless, I’m certainly delighted I discovered it and I’ll be bookmarking it and checking back often!

  6. I am curious to find out what blog system you’re working with?
I’m experiencing some minor security issues with my latest
website and I’d like to find something more safeguarded.

    Do you have any solutions?
